Biographical Note
Leak worked as a farmer but was a noted authority in the early history of Hendricks County, Indiana and served as the local representative to the Indiana Historical Society from Hendricks County. He wrote several articles published in the Indiana Magazine of History. Leak was a member of the Knights of Pythias, the Republican Party, and the local Disciples of Christ Church where he served as an elder for many years.
Leak married Minnie Candace Noe on September 25, 1909 in Hendricks County and had one son, J. Robert, and two daughters, Margaret and Amanda. He died on October 22, 1964 and was buried in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, Lizton.
