Biographical Note

Benjamin Bowman was born in the Hessian Provinces of German and fought in the American Revolution. He deserted to the American side and settled in Virginia. He eventually moved to Indiana, near Cambridge City, Indiana in 1822. He had five sons, Solomon, Benjamin F., David, Jacob, and Daniel.
