This collection contains primarily certificates and diplomas for the Greene family from 1886-1933 in southern Indiana. Included are Helen Rose's diplomas from Southern Indiana Normal College and her teacher certification, Dessia Greene's diploma, teacher's license, and marriage license and certificate to Roy B. Harder, Ariel Greene's diplomas from Indiana Common Schools and Indiana University, and a vehicle title for a vehicle Ottis Greene purchased from his sister, Alma.

Biographical / Historical
The Greene (or Green) family lived in Dubois County, Indiana, primarily Jasper. Ottis and Dessia Greene shared a father, Thomas Houston Greene, but different mothers. Ariel May Greene was the daughter of Ottis Greene and his wife, Maye R. Rose. Helen Rose was Maye Rose's sister. Dessia Greene married Roy B. Harder.
