Scope and Contents This collection includes two V-mail letters sent by Daniel Lake to his family while serving in Europe during World War II. The first letter is dated July 21, 1944 and was sent to his wife, Bonnie, while she was living in Winchester, Indiana. The second letter was also written in July 1944 and sent to his mother, Mrs. J.
