Scope and Contents This collection includes an April 28, 1851 handwritten letter by Elizabeth White from Lawrenceburg, Indiana and sent to her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Jonathan Houck. In the letter Mrs. White mentions the loss of all her belonging in a fire, news regarding family members, and asks if she may "fetch" her bed and come and stay with Nancy.
