Scope and Contents
This collection consists of photocopies of the papers of Thomas W. Ervin. Included is a
"Soldier Boy in Blue" which presents a brief account of William L. Ervin's Civil War
service and also includes general Civil War History and a brief genealogy of the Ervin
and Slater families. Also included here is "Random Reminiscences" which provides
some childhood memories of Thomas W. Ervin, as well as a letter to his cousin William
E. Ervin, a prominent attorney in Hartford City (1961).
