Waterman, Luther Dana, 1830-1918

Scope and Contents Luther Dana Waterman wrote to Senator Francis A. Osbourn on October 5, 1899, from Indianapolis. He wrote: "I have read, with deep interest, your admirable sketch of the 20th Ind. Vol. Inf. and its doings during the civil war." He mentions his own book, "Phantoms of Life," of which 700 copies were published for his friends. Luther wrote that he "enjoyed my visit to New York when three young ladies had me well cared for and helped me get rid of my vacation money."
