This collection includes original, hand-written letters to and from members of the Vance family from September 8, 1823 until September 11, 1849. There is one undated letter by Arthur to Lawrence about Lawrence running errands for him. Two letters, September 1, 1826 and March 30, 1827, are about Arthur's cousin James Dill.
