Scope and Contents This collection includes diaries from William H. Records in Rising Sun, Indiana and the United States ranging from 1862 to 1865 and 1904 regarding his military service with the 72nd Indiana Regiment during the U.S. Civil War and life as a farmer in Rising Sun. There are also photocopies of the more fragile diaries, as well as miscellaneous papers (1855-1864) and a manuscript by Records based on his Civil War diaries.
