Scope and Contents This collection includes one handwritten fragment of the New Garden Friends monthly meeting minutes taken by Thomas Parkind, the clerk of the meeting, in Indiana on June 19, 1833. One of the causes for the monthly meeting was to certify that John Hans was a member of its society and that he was an eligible bachelor "clear of marriage engagements with others."
