A handwritten letter written by Lloyd and Adele Beesley, Route 1, Box 106, Cedar Grove, Indiana 47016, dated January 15, 1971, is addressed to Mrs. Hazel Hopper, Indiana Division, Indiana State Library. The letter states: "In '69 we received a grant to search for orchids in Indiana. Late in '69, we only found one orchid but went a distance of 500 miles.
