Scope and Contents This collection includes copybooks from Kittie Thompson, Lillie Thompson, Lovina Dawson Thompson, Ezekiel Shoemake and Jennie F. Dobbins ranging from 1803 to 1889, with one date unknown regarding Spencerian and other methods of penmanship.

Scope and Contents This collection includes two ciphering books used to practice mathematical operations, such as addition, subtraction, reductions, federal money, dry measure, and decimals. The first book has entries ranging from 1826 to 1828 and belonged to Lorenzo Dow Frost. There are a few other names that have been added to the book, including Samuel Sweet.
