This collection includes a copy of the published narrative poem "A War Ballad" by Andrew C. Ranard. The undated poem is 19 stanzas and relates the events of the Battle of Resaca during the U.S. Civil War. It should be noted that Ranard's name is spelled Rinard in the citation at the end of the poem: "This is the ballad of A.C. Rinard, Co. I, 22nd Regt. Ind Vet. Vols."
