Scope and Contents
John Hewitt Jones wrote his biography, which is typed on seven long sheets. There are original documents and letters from 1793 through 1878. Several sheets give passenger names with their embarkation and destination on various riverboat trips. A document on blue paper, dated August 22, 1851, records resolutions for establishing the Rising Sun Wesleyan Seminary. In an envelope, hand-written diary pages and typed partial pages give historic information about Rising Sun from 1880 through 1887. ...
