This collection includes one diary by Mark Robinson during 1864 regarding military life in the 52nd Indiana Regiment.
Chaplain Robinson's first entry is January 22, 1864: "Left Fort Pillow at 12 1/2 o'clock." They arrived at Vicksburg on January 27th. Mark wrote: "a ruff looking place, the greater part of the town built on the bluff." On the pages for March 26th and 27th, he listed items he purchased in Cincinnati and the cost, which totaled $81.20.
