This collection consists of two certificates of registration issued by Andrew Lewis, clerk of Gibson County, state of Indiana, certifying that "Nelson Perry, a mulatto of 33 years of age, and Gilly Ann Perry, a Negress of 28 years of age, were entitled to reside in the state of Indiana, as proved by the witness of each other, starting from the first day of November, 1851."
