Scope and Contents The collection contains two speeches given by Howard. The first was given at Wabash College. The second was given at a meeting of the Athenian Society of Indiana University. Also included is a biographical sketch of Howard that was originally printed in the Democratic Review. The sketch is comprised of excerpts from a speech given by Joseph Albert Wright in Rockville, Indiana, on July 4, 1846.
