Scope and Contents There are four photocopied letters in this collection, written between 1861 and 1864. The early correspondence from William Shields to his brother, written from the field of battle, refers to Confederate prisoners taken and his company's proximity to the Confederate forces. Scope and Contents This collection consists of photostats of a list showing subscribers to a map of Indianapolis created by William Sullivan in 1836, which included prominent Indianapolis citizens such as Noah Noble, Henry P.
