Scope and Contents The collection primarily consists of correspondence to Jean Hornstein Menger from her husband Cornelius H. Menger. The letters date from when Cornelius served as captain in World War 1, and continue through after his time in the armed service (1917 to 1940). Letters from Menger originate from France, New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., Birmingham, Cleveland, Columbus, Pensacola, Omaha, and Indianapolis.
