Scope and Contents This collection includes two black-and-white photographs from the dedication of the Grand Army of the Republic Highway on May 20, 1946 taken by Graves Spotshot Service in Dyer, Indiana. Pictured in the photograph by the highway sign are: Mrs. J. J. Roberts; two Civil War veterans John C. Adams and Frank C. Barton; Governor Ralph F. Gates; John H. Lauer; State Highway Commission chairman; Herman Hartman, commission member; and F.M. Crapeau.

Scope and Contents This collection includes a photocopy of "My Most Thrilling Experience," a handwritten account of Jimmie Doolittle's biplane performance at the dedication of the Indianapolis Municipal Airport. Donated by Ina E. Kestner, the personal account has a few notations added to the margins and was likely a school assignment written by her son, Elmer. Please note that the document mentions that the event was "Last October 30," but the airport dedication took place September 26-27, 1931.
