George Cannon letter

Scope and Contents This collection consists of a July 7, 1847 letter written by George Cannon and sent from Logansport, Indiana to F.S. Church of Providence, Rhode Island. In the letter Cannon mentions that he met a man who was going to build a steam saw mill and the man asked him to "obtain further particulars" regarding the rotary engine Mr. Church was manufacturing. He also mentions that a church convention was to be held in Delphi (Ind.) the following week and they expected to elect a new bishop.

Scope and Contents The collection includes four volumes, two each from the Georgetown Presbyterian Church and the Logansport Presbyterian Church, dated from 1829 to 1930.
