Scope and Contents This collection includes correspondence ranging from 1876 to 1884 that was sent by Indiana businesses to the Elmira Nobles Manufacturing Company and later to Gillett and Company regarding order requests, payments, and complaints. The correspondents were hardware dealers and other businesses from Indianapolis, Union City, Marion, Frederick, Terre Haute, Logansport, South Bend, Jeffersonville, Goshen, Madison, Perrysville, and Richmond.

Jones Hardware Company advertising ink blotter

Scope and Contents This collection includes one unused advertising ink blotter from the Jones Hardware Company of Richmond, Indiana. Printed on the front of the blotter are calendars for June-August 1924 and lists various items sold by the company. On the reverse side is absorbent blotting paper.

Scope and Contents This collection includes three daybooks from a Williamsport, Indiana hardware store. With entries ranging from September, 1892 to August, 1894, each daybook lists name of purchaser, items purchased, amount charged per item and total cost. Most entries are in pencil. Though the store is not identified, the daybooks are likely from the E.L. Hottenstein store.
