The document includes a list of costs incurred by Samuel Douglas from April 5 until June 6 to build a house. Measurements and costs are listed for a total of $3715. The most expensive items were two doors costing $440 and poplar flooring which cost $302. Ceiling material was the least expensive. Other things listed were: window frames, lumber, partitions, molding, and lights.

This collection consists of a Photostat copy of a typewritten transcript of Morrison’s memoirs covering his family history and life through May 1826. Morrison writes of his early life and adventures traveling from Pennsylvania to Indiana and his work in construction. There is also a transcript of a letter written to Morrison from his brother in Indianapolis in 1876.
