Scope and Contents The collection consists of a typed letter, on Executive Mansion letterhead, from E. W. Halford to the Rev. John P. Newman of Omaha, Nebraska on November 12, 1892. The letter writer speculates on a possible post-Presidential occupation for President Harrison and suggests that the recipient speak with Senator Stanford about this potential occupation. He uses the phrase “confidential absolutely” and asks that his name not be mentioned in connection with the suggestion
