Scope and Contents This collection contains typewritten copies of part 1 and part 2 of "John Scott, Frontier Printer and Editor," an article written by Dr. Donald F. Carmony, a history professor and director of the Indiana University Extension Center at South Bend. Published in the February and March 1950 issues of The Indiana Publisher, Scott's biography was part of a series of sketches about pioneer newspaper editors in Indiana.

Origen Thomson biographical sketch

Scope and Contents This single typed paper gives a short biography of Origen Thomson (1829-1882), who followed several career paths. He attended Decatur County Seminary and Hanover College. From 1850-1852, he studied medicine with Dr. Moody. Origen lived in Oregon for six years in the 1850s. He and his brother Orville published the Hoosier State newspaper in Lawrenceburg from 1858-1860. He was a surveyor for railroads and involved in the stone quarry business in Greensburg. Mr. Thomson was a Presbyterian.

Scope and Contents This collection includes a copy of New Wine Bursting Old Skins: Memories of an Old Priest Longing for a New Church, a self-published memoir written by Rev. Msgr. Raymond Thomas Bosler of Indianapolis, Indiana in 1992. The memoir includes Father Bosler's signature on the title page and a typewritten biographical sketch written by James. E.
