This collection includes a copy of "History of Salem M.E. Church," an essay written by Theodore G. McGill and dated March 6, 1932 and later typed by Ranyta Sowers on August 30, 1935. The subtitle of his essay states that Salem was the first Methodist Episcopal Church established in the state north of Indianapolis when it was organized in 1832.
