Scope and Contents This collection includes correspondence, telegrams, receipts, family photographs and newspaper clippings from Walter N. and Lizzie D. Carpenter in Indianapolis and Muncie, Indiana as well as Miami, Dade County, Florida ranging from 1887 to the 1980s.

Also included are U.S. Department of Health publications regarding the control of infectious diseases and the role of women during World War I.

Scope and Contents All documents in this collection, excluding the 1919-1920 diary, reflect business transactions between members of the Durbin family. The documents date from 1818-1942 and include a variety of financial records, a notebook, notes, letters and a newspaper clipping. Three land certificates are signed by President James Monroe. Also included is an indenture dated, February 3, 1825 between Amos Durbin and Richard Perry for Perry's daughter to be bound to Durbin for nine years.The travel...
