This collection includes 9 handwritten letters from Jesse L. Williams. Nearly all of the letters are addressed to Samuel B. Ruggles in New York, New York. The remaining letters are simply addressed 'Dear Sir'. The letters are a part of ongoing correspondence between the two men (several make reference to other earlier letters) and discuss various topics, including the ongoing Central Canal project.
