Scope and Contents The collection consists of papers from 1832-1926, though the bulk of the materials cover 1870-1900. The greater part of this collection consists of correspondence and signed documents, and is mainly important as a collection of autographs. Scope and Contents This collection comprises an autograph book, which belonged to William Shaw in 1883, containing the names of his colleagues and staff members of the 53rd Indiana General Assembly as well as the individuals home town and position. A few politicians also included their occupations or personal notes.
