Scope and Contents The bulk of the collection consists of Maude Vestal’s diaries (1920, 1925-1932) and papers regarding the Wendell Willkie Notification Committee (1940). The Willkie papers principally pertain to the planning of the official notification ceremony in Elwood, Indiana, on August 17, 1940.
