This volume contains a number of sketches by Libbie Coughlen in St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Vigo County, Indiana from roughly 1864 to 1866 covering a variety of subjects, including scenes at St. Mary-of-the-Woods Institute. Most of the sketches are done using pencil and/or watercolor and focus on landscapes, crosses, flowers, buildings and exercises in perspective. Not all of the sketches are complete and some cover the entire page while some pages have multiple sketches on the same piece of paper....

This collection a black-and-white panoramic photograph from N. H. Losey in Indianapolis, Indiana in March, 1913 during the flooding of the White River. The image shows the edge of Worm and Company Beef and Pork Packers buildings in the lower left corner, other buildings and bridges, and the Puritan Bed Spring Company factory, all partially submerged, during the Great Flood of 1913.
