Shewmaker, that he gave at the eighth annual reunion of the Delaware County Veterans. McCormick, dated July 21, 1928, by the Indiana Department of Conservation, Division of Fish and Game. This special free permit, "issued only to honorably discharged ex-service men residents of Indiana" was issued to the 79-year-old McCormick as a discharged veteran of the Spanish-American War.
