Scope and Contents Three hotel advertising cards are mounted on cardboard, three-hole-punched page, of which there are eleven. All of the cards have drawings of the hotel which is advertised. Most of the cards are 2 1/2" high and 6" wide. The oldest one is 1894 (St. Nicholas Hotel, Decatur, Ill.) and the newest are 1917 (The Samer, Salina, Kansas, and The Lee-Huckins Hotel, Oklahoma City, Okla.). J. Adam Clark travel journal

Scope and Contents This collection is a copy of the small travel journal used by J. Adam Clark in 1854. Most of the penmanship is too faint to read, perhaps because it was in pencil. On page 30, the writing appears to be in ink and therefore easy to read. He traveled to several places in Michigan. In Chicago, he visited cousin George and "took tea with him."
