Scope and Contents This collection has minutes, photographs, newspaper clippings, and histories of the literary club named for Katharine Merrill Graydon, granddaughter of Samuel Merrill, the first treasurer of the State of Indiana. The club was started in 1923 by Mary Ellen George, who wrote its ten-year history. The women, who were former students of Miss Grayson at Butler University, met until October 1973. Scope and Contents This collection includes a transcription of the preamble, constitution and bylaws of the Marion County Teachers' Lyceum that was printed in a February 1847 edition of The School Friend, an educational periodical published by W.B. Smith and Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. The five page typewritten copy was made by John D. Bennedict of Muskogee, Oklahoma, a native of Clermont, Indiana, in circa 1939.

The collection also includes a copy of the book plate page, which mentions that the record book was presented to the Mooresville Public Library by Mrs. India Likely on January 26, 1916.

The notebook pages consist of correspondence and documents regarding the Boosters from 1935 to 1945, including the group's constitution and bylaws, lists of officers, and names and addresses of committee members. James H. Makin, founder of the Riviera Club, signed the dedication page.
