Scope and Contents The collection is mainly contains the correspondence of the Ogg and Longnaker Families. The majority of the letters are between Ogg and his wife while he was serving in the Civil War, and those with her family in Greenfield and Iowa. Also included are diaries and an expenditure list of Mary E. Ogg and clippings from the Indianapolis Star column the “Hoosier Listening Post.”

Scope and Contents The collection contains three items ranging from 1880 to 1894, including a manuscript of Addison C. Harris’ account of the Quakers in the community where he was raised. He talks about their prosperity and his experiences attending the Quaker Meeting House and the Quaker school. He proceeds to discuss the founding and early history of the Quaker Church as well as Quaker beliefs. Scope and Contents The bulk of the collection is from the period 1889-1900, and consists of account books, receipts, invoices, and other business papers relating to Bell’s Terre Haute store. Also included is an account book (1868-1894) of Bell’s Parke County store; an account book (1884-1890) of his son-in-law, Albert McMullin (d.1897), a Vigo County farmer; family financial papers and a small number of letters of Bell’s daughter, Lona McMullin, and her children in Terre Haute (1900-1965); and a McMullin family...
