Scope and Contents This collection includes Volunteer Descriptive Lists and Account of Pay and Clothing forms for volunteers enlisted in the 50th, 83rd, 93rd, 97th or 100th Indiana Regiment. The majority of forms are for the 97th regiment. Scope and Contents This collection consists of photocopies of letters and other documents relating to the transfer of the monument of the 84th Indiana located 1 ½ mile east of McAfee Church, in Catoosa County, Georgia, to the spot at the Chickamauga Park, which the Regiment occupied on September 19, 1863. Attached to the April 22, 1910 letter from the Engineer of the Park is a copy of the War Department rules about monuments in the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Park. Albert Allen collection

Stevens and sent to his father from the Invalid Corps headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana during the American Civil War. He mentions that he had been placed in command of Camp Morton to guard 2,300 Rebel prisoners and that he had his "hands about full". He also mentions the price of butter and cheese and notes that these items are miserable in the local market.
