Scope and Contents The collection contains World War II letters of Howard to his parents, Louise and George Howard (Evansville, IN), written from the South Pacific, Okinawa, China, Korea, the Philippines, California, and Ft. Scope and Contents This collection includes Fred E. Dillard's scrapbook (1900-1971) containing photographs, certificates, correspondence, and newspaper clippings regarding his children's school activities, military service, and careers. The scrapbook also has a number of postcards and photographs from World War I, photographs from World War II, and a cabinet card photograph of Samuel Edward Dillard, Fred's uncle, in his military uniform.
