Scope and Contents This collection contains photocopies of poems, songs, scriptures and corrrespondence of the Mallery, Sallee, and Emmons families (1834 -1892). Several letters are written by Moses E. Sallee while he was with Company L, Indiana 8th Cavalry Regiment during the U.S. Civil War. Also included is the account book of J.M. Mallery of Noblesville, Indiana is (1835-1858). Some of the photocopies are illegible.

John Englebrecht Bruns collection

Bruns between July 27 and August 9, 1977, documenting his efforts to find records on his father, John Englebrecht Bruns, particulary his arrival in the U.S., his activities, and acquisition of citizenship. The letters have information about Paul's mother, Sonora Smith, her father, her sister Adeline, and her brothers, Lyman and James.

The biography relates brief family history; describes how Hamilton got into the whiskey making business; and describes the movements of General William Henry Harrison's forces from Terre Haute to Prophetstown prior to the Battle of Tippecanoe.
