"Sketches of Western Adventure: Comprising a Biographical Narrative of the Life of Jacob Upp" manuscript

Scope and Contents This photocopied, 30-page manuscript tells the story of a father and son, Jacob and John Upp, who were both captured by Indians. The original manuscript was created in 1851.

An accompanied affidavit certifies the item as an exact and true copy of the original book, signed "Lula Fisher" on May 10, 1935.

Eberhard Reichmann edited this manuscript for publication in 2002 for publication on the 100th anniversary of the monument's dedication.
