This collection includes genealogical information, correspondence, and photographs from Carrie Alden Ransom and Orpha Alden Brackensiek in Indiana, ranging from 1884 to 1939, regarding the Alen, Ransom and Brackensiek families. There are also several empty envelopes and a small amount of correspondence from Rella Brackensiek Voltz.

Biographical / Historical
Orpha Alden was born January 24, 1862, to Alvin and Sarah Cutshall Alden. She was the sixth of seven children. On December 9, 1891, Orpha married George H. Brackensiek, they later had two children Lester and Rella. Orpha Brackensiek died August 12, 1848, in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Carrie Elnora Alden was born September 3, 1864, to Alvin and Sarah Cutshall Alden. She was the youngest of seven children. On June 24, 1894, she married Mark Ransom, and they had one child Raymond. Carrie Ransom died November 5, 1933, in Batesville, Indiana.
