Biographical / Historical
Marian Kenney Ferrell was born November 10, 1895, in Elizabethtown, Illinois to Milas and Ann (Kinney) Ferrell. She had one younger brother, Pierce Ferrell. On May 19, 1918, Ferrell married Edwin Henry Wiggers in Louisville, Kentucky, and they had two children, Edwin Henry and Carolyn Ann. Marian Wiggers was a writer for the Evansville Courier, and an editor of the Indiana Club Woman magazine. She was a member of the Women’s Press Club, a member of the Indiana Public Health Nursing Association, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Wiggers died on May 15, 1980, in Evansville, Indiana.
