Biographical / Historical
Philip Redenbaugh was born May 13, 1826 in Jefferson County, Indiana to Philip and Frances Arbuckle Redenbaugh. After both of his parents died, Philip and his brother Henry lived with relatives who moved to Rush County, Indiana. In 1851, Redenbaugh married Cinderella Waggoner and they had one daughter, Samantha. Cinderella died January 29, 1852. On November 3, 1853, he married Mary Ann McDuffie and they had six children. Besides farming, Redenbaugh was a township trustee for Orange Township, ran a threshing business, and was a road superintendent. Philip Redenbaugh died on October 7, 1913 in Johnson County, Indiana.
