Biographical / Historical

Rowena Lois Standiford was born October 25, 1903, to James and Jessie Reynolds Standiford. Rowena attended and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1922. She graduated from Franklin College and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Old Gold Club. Rowena was a teacher and librarian at Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, Indiana from January 2, 1928, to June 13, 1969. She died in Jeffersonville, Indiana on March 18, 1987.
