This collection includes genealogical research and photographs from genealogist Edward A. Claypool in Chicago regarding Hawkins family. A copy of an index created by the Genealogy Division in 1972 is also included at the beginning of the collection.

Biographical Note

Edward A. Claypool was born in 1854 and was a genealogist commissioned to research many families' histories. He lived in Chicago for a time. Edward died in 1916 and was buried in Ohio with his wife, Minnie V. Hall Claypool.
