Biographical / Historical
Osie Alice McDowell was born December 10th, 1901 to Gurney and Ivy Cain McDowell in Oolitic, Indiana the fourth of ten children. She graduated from Bedford High school in 1920. Osie married Robert Ingalls Sr. in 1926, they had one child Robert Ingalls Jr. on June 8, 1930.
Besides her interest in genealogy Osie was a member and past president of Tri-Kappa, was involved with the John Wallace chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Ladies of the Round Table Literary Club.
After the death of Robert Ingalls in 1978, Osie married a second time to John Wallace Clark in 1983. Osie Alice died on November 8, 1988 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
