Biographical Note

Vern Anderson Carpenter was born on November 13, 1902 in Shelby County to Claude and Cynthia Winterrowd Carpenter. Vern had one youger sisiter Lucille Carpenter. He graduated Purdue University in 1929 with an engineering degree. He first worked for Western Electric Co. and then later on went to work for National Electronics. He was married three times, first to Irene Eubanks, and then Viola Clapper both precided him in death. His third wife was Frances Faust. Vern A. Carpenter died June 7, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
