Biographical Note

Dorothy Garr Helmer was born on January 15th, 1908 in St. Cloud Minnesota to John J. and Mabel Garr Helmer. She graduated from Butler University in 1928 and was a self employed interior designer for 35 years. Dorothy was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority, American Society of Interior Designers and the National Society of Arts and Letters. She died on April 24, 1999 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
