Biographical Note
Hattie Preston Truax was born on March 30, 1882 to Preston and Charlotte Inger McCarty in Owen County, Indiana. She had four brothers, Clyde, Jeremiah, Dale, and Chesley McCarty. She married Claude Truax on August 6, 1905. they had two children Alice and Samuel Truax. Hattie Truax died on January 14, 1978.
