Biographical Note
Ruth Mitchell Slevin was born on October 27th 1892, in Brown County, Indiana to Richard and Ann (Ridgeway) Mitchell. She was married to Marvin Gavern Slevin and they had three children, Kenneth, Eileen, and Joan. She was Post mistress of the Ninevah Post Office. Ruth was a prolific genealogist and compiled many books She died on April 10, 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Evelyn Lucille Kent Hensley was born on January 30, 1916 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Herman E. Kent Sr. and Grace McCullough. She attended Arsenal Technical High School and graduated in 1932. Evelyn was an employee of Eli Lilly & company from 1934-1938. She married Howard Virgil Hensley on September 19, 1936 and they had three children Howard, Harry and Sandra. Evelyn volunteered for many different organizations and an avid genealogist for over 30 years. She along with her husband loved to travel and on their 60th anniversary the traveled to Paris on the Concorde, took the Chunnel to London and the Queen Elizabeth II to New York. Evelyn died on May 30, 2006 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
