Biographical Note
Maxine Louise Price Brown was born February 28, 1923, in Vigo County, Indiana, to Herbert W. and Mary Ann (Etchison) Price. She was one of five children. She married Byron L. Brown on February 29, 1952, and together they had six children. She died July 14, 2005, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Brown was a member of the Daughters of American Colonists, the Indiana Historical Society, the National Genealogical Society, and the Huguenot Society. She researched and wrote about several families, including the Etchison, Van Arsdale, Brown, and Price families.
